Disney has announced Joss Whedon will return, not only to work on a sequel to The Avengers. He will, in fact be WRITING AND DIRECTING it!

The Hollywood Reporter also mentions that Whedon will create a “Marvel-related TV series” for ABC. This will mean Whedon will be one busy guy. Hopefully if both are in production simultaneously, we could see some actual serious crossover between the two.
