Last week it was reported that Matthew Vaughn walked away from directing X-Men: Days of Future Past. Bryan Singer was rumored to possibly step into the role. That turns out to be the case as Singer has just closed the deal to return to the director’s chair.

 

Matthew Vaughn may still be producing the film along with writer Simon Kinberg and Lauren Shuler Donner.

FOX is still targeting July 18, 2014 for release.
