The Return of TWIN PEAKS! Showtime Announces Premiere Date!
Showtime has just announced that David Lynch‘s Twin Peaks revival will premiere with a special two-hour event on Sunday, May 21st at 9pm ET/PT. Immediately following the Twin Peaks premiere, Showtime subscribers will also be able to access the third and fourth episodes exclusively on Showtime’s streaming services: Showtime Anytime and Showtime On Demand.
The following week, Showtime will then air the third and fourth episodes of Twin Peaks back-to-back. After that, one-hour episodes will be shown every week until the series concludes. There will be a grand total of 18 episodes.
This is expected to be a closed-ended, one time event…
Many of the original cast has returned for this revival which is great and provides continuity….
The cast includes Mädchen Amick Ray Wise, Alicia Witt, Warren Frost, Dana Ashbrook, Sherilyn Fenn, David Duchovny, James Belushi, Chrysta Bell, Robert Knepper, Michael Cera, Eddie Vedder, Amanda Seyfried, Tom Sizemore, Balthazar Getty, Naomi Watts, and Laura Dern.

Widely considered one of the most groundbreaking and influential broadcast series of all time, TWIN PEAKS followed the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town who were stunned after their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered. The town’s sheriff welcomed the help of FBI agent Dale Cooper, who came to town to investigate the case. As Cooper conducted his search for Laura’s killer, the town’s secrets were gradually exposed. The mystery that ensued set off an eerie chain of events that plunged the inhabitants of Twin Peaks into a darker examination of their very existence. Twenty-five years later, the story continues…
